Fantasy football continues to roll onto Week 3 with plenty of great matchups to exploit.
Hopefully, all has gone well for your Fantasy Football teams this season as through two weeks, the scoring feels it has been minimal at times. While studs like Derrick Henry and Aaron Jones repaid you for taking a shot at them in the first two rounds this past week with 40-plus point performances in PPR, the likes of Saquon Barkley still leave you wondering if it were worth it.
Well, we are onto Week 3 if you like it or not and this is one of the major weeks of the season. This is a bend or break type of week, meaning that if you take another loss then it is seriously time to re-evaluate your team to try and improve, or if you are able to go 3-0, then you are golden and should keep pushing forward with the roster you have.
Here are the starts and sits for Week 3, featuring some names you may be shaky about, double downing on guys who have shown up in the first couple of weeks, and some surprise names to make you consider.
Note: Fantasy players like Derrick Henry and Travis Kelce will not be included on this list.
StartJustin Herbert, LAC, @ KCThe Los Angeles Chargers could easily be 2-0 this season but that is not the case. In their first two games, Herbert has been good but has yet to reach the levels of fantasy potential that owners have expected out of him thus far. The reason for that has been multiple big plays being called back and the start and stop to ask Herbert to deliver when he is on previous players. With a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, it is put up or shut up time. Start him.
Matthew Stafford, LAR, vs. TBStafford has been a fantasy star, for the most part, this season, showing everyone what happens when he is on a top-caliber team. A matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is on the horizon and that should be the game Stafford proves once and for all that he’s a top guy in the NFL. Expect a shootout in one of the best matchups all season.
Daniel Jones, NYG, vs. ATLThe New York Giants have allowed Jones to use his feet more in the first two weeks of the season and that has led to the potential that his fantasy value was at last year finally breaking through this year. He’s a solid start this week against the Falcons.
SitJoe Burrow, CIN, @ PITAfter making the start section last week, Joe Burrow had an okay game that was saved by two late touchdowns. This week against Pittsburgh, it’s best to sit him down with at least 10 more options better and safer. Heading into Pittsburgh is never the best idea for any starting fantasy quarterback that isn’t in the elite status.
